Weber Upright Model W121 Piano

Authorized Weber Piano Dealer for the Bay Area

weber upright pianoAt Pianos Plus, we are huge fans of Weber Pianos, and we’re intrigued by all innovative ideas that come out of Weber’s sphere of influence. That’s why we’re pretty excited about the model W121, a professional upright that measures 40 inches long and comes in a variety of finishes, including black, white, mahogany red, and walnut.

Why are we so intrigued?

First of all, the piano uses spruce springboards, which — for technical reasons pertaining to complicated acoustics — create deeper, more resonant tones and superior sound transmission qualities.

The piano is also built to excellent error tolerance (5/100 millimeters) and features a keyboard with very low specific gravity but high elasticity. This means that the keys feel weighty enough to allow the instrumentalist to connect but soft enough to milk delicate, sensitive moments.

The hammers are also expressive and dynamic: they hit the strings in under 250th of a second.

Some pianos struggle to provide consistent tone and volume of sound in larger facilities, such as college auditoriums or concert spaces. But the model W121 features a 17 layer laminated panel, which helps the instrument hold up under stress and stay keenly tuned.

The V-Process vacuum casting method of string framing creates excellent, stable string alignment, and the soundboard is optimized on the low notes thanks to a round rim feature.

Finally, this Weber piano features the Soft Glide System, which lets you close the keyboard slowly and gently, without rattling the instrument. This reduces the need for maintenance.
