John Di Benedetti
JOHN DI BENEDETTITeaching 42 years (2011)… John teaches students to play by note, chord and ear. He specializes in “playing the way the pros play” (using lead sheets, and arranging your songs yourself).
John is a master at his craft, and can get you on the fast-track to your musical goals.
Playing experience includes everything from cruises to casinos, nightclubs, studio work, accompaniment, arranger, nearly every gig in every style. John studied with the legendary Don Haas, local great Smith Dobson, and Larry Muhoberac to name a few.
Dave Badilla
DAVE BADILLA
Dave started giving guitar lessons to friends in Junior High School, while continuing to improve his own guitar and vocal skills with legendary local teacher, Jim Bedford.
Throughout the years, Dave has continued to refine his teaching techniques and currently offers lessons in guitar, harmonica, bass and vocals. He spent several years teaching at a Tri-Valley music store and is now teaching our of a studio on the border of Castro Valley and Hayward. He was also on staff as the Harmonica instructor at the Oakland Public Conservatory of Music in Oakland,CA. Since September 2008, Dave also teaches guitar classes at the Castro Valley Adult School in Castro Valley, CA.
He has worked with children as young as 6 years old and adults as old as 65, from absolute beginners to other gigging musicians.
Private lessons are one-on-one and tailored to each students ability and musical style interests. Whole band workshops “Band Labs” are also available to newly forming bands that need a little help getting started or existing bands that are looking for guidance in taking the next step in literally “Getting their act together” , working on dealing with prospective clients, vocal, harmonies, a show pacing, live performances, how to “read” a crowd and various other tips collected over a 30+ professional music career.
